Organizing Committee PC Lit Fest

Here is the list of organizing committee PC Lit Fest is happening on May 9th 2024. This inaugural event of Preserved Cultures Literature Festival promises an immersive exploration of culture, history, and heritage, all woven together by the enduring power of the written word.

We, the committee, are passionate about fostering a deeper understanding of preserved cultures. This festival is our way of showcasing the invaluable role literature plays in safeguarding traditions, narratives, and the rich legacies of the past.

Here we have the list of organizing committee PC Lit Fest (Preserved Cultures Literature Festival);

Khalil Ur Rehman

Mr. Khalil Ur Rehman belongs to Chitral. He completed his graduation from the National University of Modern Languages Islamabad in English Literature and Linguistics. Founded Preserved Cultures in 2019 www.preservedcultures.com. Currently, he is enrolled at the Area Study Center for Africa North and South America in the final semester of American Studies (Literature). Khalil Ur Rehman is the Chief Organizer of this event.

Abbas Jan

Mr. Abbas Jan Yousafzai hails from District Swat. He has completed his Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature. Currently, he is pursuing an MPhil in American Studies (Literature) from the Area Study Center, at Quaid-i-Azam University. Now as a Member of the organizing committee of the Preserved Cultures Literature Festival, he will be taking on the role of Event Manager.

Mahtab Bashir

Mr. Mahtab Bashir a senior journalist. He was born and bred in Islamabad. A motivated Journalist who thrives on deadlines and is dedicated to sharing compelling stories that serve the public interest. Always strive to write unique but factual recollections of incidents and events. He is running my blog http://mahtabbashir.blogspot.com. Mr. Mahtab Bashir has over 16 years of experience in print, digital media, and supplementary social media platforms. He is currently pursuing an MPhil Degree from Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad. As a member of the organizing committee for the Preserved Cultures Literature Festival, he will fulfill the duties of a Media Coordinator and panel discussion Moderator.

Aftab Ahmed Maken

Aftab Ahmed Maken is a senior journalist of Pakistan’s well known media Dunya NEWS. He is from South Punjab and currently residing in Rawalpindi.  As a member of the organizing committee for the Preserved Cultures Literature Festival, he will fulfill the duties of a Media Coordinator and panel discussion Moderator.

Ghalib Khan

Mr. Muhammad Ghalib Khan. Belong to Bannu, KPK. He completed his bachelor’s in Political Science. Currently enrolled in Area Study Center, QAU for M.Phil. American Studies. As a member of the organizing committee of the Preserved cultures literature festival, I will perform my role as Exhibition Manager.

Tahreem Sadat

Miss. Tahreem Sadat, MPhil American Studies, English Language Instructor, Writer, Poet, from Nawabshah, Sindh. She will moderate Mehfil-e-Mushaira in the Preserved Cultures Literature Festival.

Ahmad Ali

Mr. Ahmad Ali is basically from Jhang and Bread in Islamabad. He is a young and emerging poet of the Urdu Language. Mr. has currently completed an MPhil in American Studies from Quai-i-Azam University Islamabad. He will moderate Mehfil-e-Mushaira in the Preserved Cultures Literature Festival.

Syed Muhammad

Mr. Syed Muhammad. Belong to subdivision Wazir Bannu (Ex FATA), KPK. He completed his bachelor’s in Political Science and English literature. Doing M.Phil. in American studies from QAU. Newspaper columnist. As a member of the organizing committee of the Preserved Cultures Literature Festival. I will perform my role as a Site Management official.

Arooj Anwar Khan

Miss Urooj Anwar Khan belongs to the South Waziristan District. She is doing an M.Phil. in American Studies from Area Study Center QAU. She is a political analyst. As a member of the organizing committee of Preserved Cultures Literature Festival, she will perform a role as literary talk moderator.

Asma Ishaq

Asma Ishaq belongs to Choa Saiden Shah, Chakwal, currently enrolled in MPhil American Studies. She is a prose writer and has written in anthologies as well. This time contributed as a member of the organizing committee of the Preserved Culture Literature Festival. She will perform the role of lens and light manager; and photographer.

Umer Ali Abbasi

Mr. Umer Ali Abbasi Belongs to AJK. Completed bachelor in International relations. Currently enrolled in MPhil American studies At Area Study Center, Quaid-I-Azam University Islamabad. As a member of the organizing committee of the Preserved Cultures Literature Festival, he will be performing the role of panel discussion moderator.

Tehreem Fatima

Tehreem Fatima is from Mandi Bahauddin, Punjab. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and is currently pursuing her M.Phil in American Studies from Area Study Center, Quid-i-Azam University Islamabad. As a member of the organizing committee of the Preserved Cultures Literature Festival, she will be guiding the Heritage Walk.

Mahnoor Shaukat Khan

Mahnoor Shaukat khan belong to Tarbela, KPK. She was born and raised in Punjab and letter in Islamabad. Currently, she is doing an M.Phil. in American studies at the Area Study Center, Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad. As a member of the organizing committee of the Preserved Cultures Literature Festival, she will perform the role of cultural performance manager.
